DRAMA ERUPTED when Oscar Riches, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspirant for the Ashanti Regional Second Vice Chairman position, burst into tears while campaigning for votes.

Oscar, affectionately known as 'Ghana Beye Yie,' was addressing the NPP's Effiduase Asokore Constituency executives to solicit their votes on Monday when he began to cry.

Ghana Beye Yie, who had been given the platform to announce his campaign message to the NPP delegates, became emotional while pleading with them to support his bid.

According to him, he adored the NPP and was only hoping to be elected as the party's regional second vice chairman so that he could serve his beloved NPP.

According to reports, the NPP man's shocking action moved the NPP delegates present to tears. Some of the delegates even consoled Ghana Beye Yie and assured him of their support.

After being consoled, Ghana Beye Yie continued with his statement, emphasizing that the NPP is the best political party to lead the country into prosperity, and that the party should remain in power.

According to him, the election in 2024 will be difficult, and the NPP should vote for patriotic, visionary, and hardworking individuals like him to help the party retain political power in 2024.
