Barcelona has placed nine players on the transfer list ahead of the summer transfer window
Barcelona will have a busy summer as Xavi Hernandez attempts to coordinate a massive rebuild ahead of the new season.
While Xavi has targeted a number of top players, including Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde, the club will need to offload their unwanted stars in order to generate the transfer revenue for their top targets.
Marca has published a report in which the names of all the players who will be allowed to leave Camp Nou at the end of the season are revealed.
Philippe Coutinho has already left the club, signing a €20 million deal with Aston Villa, with the club retaining half of his player rights Miralem Pjanic, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by Xavi, could follow suit at Barcelona.
The Bosnian international has been courted by Napoli, but signing him could be difficult unless Barcelona reduces his demands significantly.
Other players expected to be sold include Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet, with the latter reportedly being offered in a swap deal for top target Kounde.
Experienced players like Martin Braithwaite and Neto are set to leave the club, as are La Masia talents Oscar Mingueza, Alex Collado, and Riqui Puig, who have fallen out of favor under Xavi this season.
Barcelona also wants to recoup the value of Francisco Trincao, but with only Sporting CP interested, the club may have to settle for a loan deal rather than a permanent sale.
Indeed, according to the report, Barcelona has good offers on the table for the aforementioned players, but in almost all cases, the interested parties are unwilling to meet the players' high wage demands.
It complicates matters for president Joan Laporta, who faces a difficult task in offloading all unwanted players and assisting Barcelona in rebuilding ahead of the new period.
