Daniel Wilson Addo, the Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), made a courtesy call on His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, at his house in New Fadama.
The purpose of the visit is to congratulate the Chief Imam on his charitable work and promotion of religious harmony, to pray for CBG as a positive commercial brand, and to strengthen the long-standing connection with the Muslim community.
"His eminence is the spiritual leader of a big portion of the population of this nation, and he has continuously pushed the concept that we are one people even though we are divided," CBG's Managing Director, Mr. Daniel Wilson Addo, explained the reason of the visit.
We are also aware of his eminence's efforts to feed the poor and assist those who are marginalized in society; we firmly support such beliefs. So we've come to pay our respects and express our support for all of his humanitarian efforts. We also conduct business in several of the villages where his people are concentrated, and we've always found the climate to be quite welcoming, so we'd want to thank him and introduce him to the Bank."
"CBG cherishes the relationship and effect of the Chief Imam and the broader Muslim community on the Bank's development," says Daniel Addo. In keeping with our brand promise, we pledge to remain committed to you.
The National Chief Imam, for his part, expressed appreciation to CBG and wished the Bank and its employees well.
"I'm eagerly looking forward to your visit," he remarked. I pray to Allah that he would bless the Bank, as well as everyone of you personally as bank employees, and collectively, that God will bless your lives and all your endeavors. I'm also hoping that God strengthens our country's peace, just as we live in a country with many different religions but yet live in harmony; we hope that God strengthens our peace."
