Ghanaian actress, film producer, and entrepreneur known in showbiz as Yvonne Nelson is out with a new movie titled “FIFTY FIFTY” which stars Ghanaian politician John Dumelo, now pastor Majid Michel, Ghanaian tiktoker Jacqueline Mensah, and more. The movie after hitting on its premiere and release date has been the talk of town and fans can't wait to see the official premiere of the movie.
The movie is set to premiere at the Silverbird cinema in the Accra Mall, however one sad thing is her fans and movie lovers in Kumasi will not get the chance to see the premiere of the movie. Speaking in an interview even stated that there will be no premiere in Kumasi and when she was asked why she revealed Kumasi cinemas are not spacious enough for the capacity she needs so premiering in Kumasi is out. When prompted Kumasi has 3 cinemas at the mall, but she still stood to her grounds and revealed the capacity is too low.
“My challenge as a producer is, I wish there were more avenues to show my movies, for example on Saturday, I was just hoping the whole of Ghana will be watching”.
She further added that, aside from the collapse of the movie industry, cinemas or avenues to show movies are not enough and not spacious hence investors are not willing to invest their money since they might incur debt. The promotion of the movie started weeks ago and per accounts, the movie will be a good one to watch.
Yvonne Nelson is one of the solo individuals who have stood her ground to produce movies despite the current state of the Ghanaian movie industry.
