A 24-year-old man described how he nearly died in an attempt to boost his confidence before approaching his crush.
The young man, whose name has been withheld, stated that he was in love with a beautiful lady, but that starting the necessary conversation with her was a challenge for him.
According to myjoyonline.com, the young man first met Efua (not her real name) in 2020 when they were assigned to work on a project together. "I saw the girl and started admiring her and was very eager to talk to her because the job will only last for 30 days and I probably won't see her again after that period," he explained. But whenever I tried to approach her, I felt like I was too low to get her. "I guess I didn't value myself," he told myjoyonline.com.
He revealed that he then approached two of his friends for assistance, with one of them suggesting that he approach the girl while tipsy, which he declined.
Another friend joked that he should take tramadol to boost his confidence.
He bought into the idea and bought the drug without informing his friends.
"I didn't tell my friend I was going to buy the drug, but I did so without his knowledge." I took the drug right before I was about to go to work the next day. "I had no idea how it worked, so I took as many as I could," he explains.
Unfortunately, after taking the tramadol, things did not go as planned. He began acting erratically in the office.
"I went to work, but I couldn't stay there for an hour." I began behaving erratically, insulting people here and there. I returned home and went straight to my room. It was around 9:00 a.m., and I had slept for two days straight." He stated
He went on to say that the timely intervention of some people who broke into his room might have saved him.
"We were fortunate to have a nurse in our home. Before I was taken to the hospital, he came over and gave me some drugs.
"I was hospitalized for two weeks, and it wasn't pleasant." I was only half-dead. "In the hospital, my eyes opened," he explained.
When he was fully recovered, Kojo decided to man up and approach Efua as he should have, but he still couldn't get the girl he almost died for.
"I tried but failed to ask the girl out. "I was defeated twice."
Kojo expressed regret for his actions, saying, "people would have said I died from a drug overdose, but I would have died because of a girl."
