The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana has threatened to march naked through the streets of Accra to protest the government's ever-increasing fuel prices.
During the demonstration, the drivers intend to block major roads.
Mr David Agboado, the group's National Public Relations Officer, told Korku Lumor on Class91.3FM's 505 news programme on Thursday, May 19, 2022: "We are giving the government two weeks; if nothing is done, we the drivers will take to our heels and do the naked demonstration."
"This time, we're going naked to make it sound different; that's what we want to do so the government will sit up," he explained.
Mr Agboado compared Ghana's fuel prices to those of her neighbors, saying, "When you go to Burkina, their fuel price is 7.81; when you go to Togo, it's 7.62; and when you go to Ivory Coast, it's 8.62."
“Why? "Are they not going through the same thing we are?" he wondered.
