"Four years on campus, no better class and the worse of all, no woman for me. I couldn't grab any lady on campus. Now I might go home scoring four-nil (4-0)"
This inscription was on a washroom door at the University of Cape Coast. It revealed to me a problem that confronted most final year bachelors. This guy could not get a partner in the first, second and third year. He was still not having one even in the final year.
A University however brings together thousands of women from different backgrounds, region, religion, homes etc. These ladies who vary in beauty, size, form, height, breast size, buttocks size etc. are doing different programs in the University. Why will this guy complain of scoring four-nil (4-0) in a university?
His problem cannot be unavailability of women or that he could not get his choice. He sees the fresh ladies everyday in the libraries, lecture halls, halls of residence and around the campus. He probably looks, admire and watch them pass by without approaching or calling any of them.
Most men in their lives have once lost the confidence to approach or call women they had wish to date. I believe these ladies are not scary, for if they were, we would not have liked them. Why do men panic approaching women of their dreams? Do any of the following sound familiar to you?
* The very act of stepping up and approaching a woman fills me with fear.
* Cannot imagine what I will say as opening line.
* I am terrified that I will say the wrong thing and upset her in some way.
* I am convinced that I will not be able to be interesting and entertaining enough to keep her captivated.
These signs of fear are all understandable, but I repeat, what do you actually fear? The fear might be due to rejection. That is, being rejected before you even speak.
Sometimes we ask ourselves so many questions which in turn discourage us from moving forward. Some of the questions swirling around your heads could be :
* Is this the right time to approach her?
* I didn't know what to say to her?
* She probably won't be interested in me ?
* She must be with someone else?
The lady will not be there waiting for you. She will be gone by the time you are convinced. Some fresh girls too might be seen once in our life time at certain events or places. So why bother yourself with questions? Just call or approach her now!!
