This’s My Ghana ??

In the ancient time is Koumbi Saleh

Full of riches and different cultures grounding to an empire Mali

A land that stretches with forestation and deserts

Bounty foods and hunters

The comely curvy ladies and their restless soldiers

Celebrating the king Gana

Fashioned with the land’s best minerals

With the color showing unity

King Dinga Cesse, first king of Empire Ghana

Becoming powerful as the discovery of iron zones

With their traditional jobs as the workers of the lands

Feeding multitudes with handful from their farms

Soninke and Mande they expressed themselves as natives

A free will of marrying the culture of Islam

Yet Islam settled like of the snail

Resisting so many wars holds them into a boredom

Sosso ruler of Sumanguru conquered

The fall of the  Wagadou Empire

Finding it stands in the rising of Mali Empire

The first settlers,Guan, their roots from Mossi a region of modern Burkina

Bono and The ruling Abrade originated from the

ancient Ghana, migrated through Egypt and Nubia

Israel, migrated southward to present day Uganda, along the Congo River, westward through Cameroon Nigeria Benin Togo and now Accra Ghana was the Ga’s

In the Yoruba kingdom tracing to Oya in Western Nigeria, seeing the dwelling farmers of the Ewes

The oldest to form a modern territory, Mole Dagbani from Lake Chad to establish Mamrupsi Kingdom at Gambaga

Not forgetting our selfless warrior leaders

Leading the people to present settlements

The likes of Ndewura Jakpa, flourishing establishing the kingdom Gonja

The god of Tsali, his legacy influencing the Ewes to be powerful

Abubakar, Dawuda, and Soleimana the three bravest men to lead the Fantes nicknamed in a victorious song as Obromankuma!Obromankuma ! Obapejan! Osunu! Osunu etsini aboa

Anokye blessing the Ashantes  with the goddess Stool

The lineage holding the heritage of Ghana

Greed, slavery exposed our flaws

The West mediocritizing our thoughts

Rectifying to appreciate our Gold Coast

Ivories, salts and plagues of the old folks

Fighting themselves was a man whose father was a woman

With their castles degrading natives in dungeons

Beginning of slavery and grave

Others resisted but were tamed

Natives soldiers becoming coromantees in different countries

The reason of the call of the Bond of 1844

The Fantes Confederation coming in agreement to achieve a goal

Was broken by deceitful colony

Creating the awareness of independence

The story of Yaa Asantewaa, wukum apem aa apem b3ba conquest as her frontiers

Leading the people to fight until they’re flawless

Her exile was a blow to the Ashantes loosing the battle contexts

The gentlemen from the Fanteland, John Mensah Sabah in the times of Gold Coast

His messages were Freedom posts

Putting across lots of loads which seemed vague but was of goals

The time of self governance was due

Calling on all the visionaries with a motive they pursue

Self Governance within the shortest possible time themselves they argue

When will that be achieved?

Kwame Nkrumah was brought as the front liner

Seeing the ellipsis in achieving the goal

Form himself Self Government Now the slogan of CPP

The party that gave the people feet

Glory flourishing in land of Ghana

Osaadeyor Osagyefu Kwame Nkrumah was our song

6th March we harvest our corn

Wearing the cloth of sovereignty in 1st July 1960

The bad nut was broken

The gun became ruler

Inflicting a game coup detat

From the military of Achempong all the way to Rawlings

Shooting was cautioned

Rawlings the last of the gun regime out of love born Democracy

Everyone was afraid his actions are still in the autocracy

The phase of Ghana was changed

Kabi nami kabi was the lullaby

Breeding nepotism and favoritism

Propaganda and corruption

Leaders with greed manipulating the law to protect them

Forgetting the strong words of our father Freedom! Freedom! Ghana your beloved country is free forever. Backward never forward ever. The black man has the capacity of managing his own affairs

This is my Ghana

It is one and our honor

This is my Ghana

It is resourced and we need to protects its nature

This is my Ghana

Its tradition is our hallmark

The new generation should eradicate this pedestrian political jeopardy

Because it soils the nation with filth
