Karim Benzema claims that he is 'not enraged' that Kylian Mbappe has declined Real Madrid's offer.
Mbappe, 23, revealed last week that he would stay at Paris Saint-Germain after agreeing to a hefty contract extension with the French champions that will keep him with the club until 2025.
Benzema has remained silent on the subject, despite Madrid's disappointment at his decision to stay with the Ligue 1 club.
He asked Movistar, "Mbappe?" I believe (Real Madrid) will play in the Champions League final, and now is not the time to dispute about little points.
"I'd prefer not speak," she says. I'm not enraged in the least. The Champions League final has drew my attention. Listening to other things isn't as important as this."
Madrid is gearing up to play Liverpool in the Champions League final in Paris on Saturday, with the La Liga champions aiming for their 14th European championship.
Meanwhile, following his news conference on his contract renewal with PSG, Mbappe suggested that he may still move to Real Madrid.
When asked if a move to the Bernabeu was now off the table for the rest of his career, he said, "Never over, never over." The only difference is that my contract has been extended for another three years. You never know what will occur.
"I've stopped worrying about the future and am just concerned with the here and now, which is that I've signed a new three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain."
Mbappe has had an open line of communication with Real and has maintained a strong connection with him.
Real Madrid are considering AC Milan's Rafael Leao as a potential scoring option after witnessing Kylian Mbappe commit his future to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Portugal international has already received an option from the LaLiga winners after winning the Scudetto.
Real Madrid has made an offer of €120 million to capture the 22-year-old, who has 14 goals and 12 assists in 42 games for the Rossoneri this season.
The attacker's release clause is worth €150 million, therefore that amount might not be enough. Milan not only wants to keep Leao, but they also want to offer him a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2026, as his current contract expires in 2024.
