After six years at Manchester United, Paul Pogba is expected to leave when his contract expires in June.
Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus, and Real Madrid have all been connected with a bid for the 29-year-old France international, and it appears that Pogba has now agreed to join his new club.
Juventus has offered him a three-year contract worth around £10 million per season, and Pogba's barber Ahmed AlsanawI claims the 29-year-old will return to Juventus this summer.
Pogba's barber looks to have gotten ahead of both the player and Juventus in terms of a transfer announcement, as he hinted on Pogba's social media.
"You know what time it is," Pogba captioned a selfie of himself with his new hairstyle on Instagram.
"#pogback," AStarBarbers replied on the snap, using black and white emojis to signify Juventus' colors.
Juventus and Pogba have yet to achieve a final agreement, with some minor elements still to be worked out, but both parties are optimistic that a deal will be reached.
Pogba's return to Juventus makes sense after he won four Serie A titles in four years, scoring 34 goals and assisting 40 times in 178 games.
Erik Ten Hag has a massive rebuilding job ahead of him at Manchester United, and it appears that solidifying the shambles of a United defense is high on his priority list. According to Fabrizio Romano, two important centre-back targets have been identified.
One of these alternatives is Ajax's Jurrien Timber. Ten Hag is said to be looking forward to reuniting with his compatriot, a speedy and powerful centre-back who, more importantly, is calm with the ball at his feet. He's rumored to be for sale for around £30 million.
Pau Torres of Villarreal is also being considered. The Spaniard's release clause is €60 million, but the Champions League semi-finalists may be willing to deal with him for less. If he moves to Manchester, the 25-year-old will be the club's sole left-footed centre-back.
Both of these alternatives are intriguing. Timber's versatility also allows him to play at right-back, which is another area where United has struggled, making him an appealing prospect. Meanwhile, Torres would assist to shore up United's shaky left flank, which has been weakened by Harry Maguire's dismal play.
These targets, two of the hottest defensive properties on the market, should excite Manchester United fans. Timber is only 20 years old and is only getting better with age, while Torres is approaching his prime, so they're both low-risk signings for the Red Devils.
Ten Hag will also have to deal with United's midfield difficulties. With the contracts of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, and Jesse Lingard expiring, United's incoming manager will be looking to replace them with some quality reinforcement.
