Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has chosen Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United over Lionel Messi as his ideal teammate. De Bruyne was asked a number of short questions in an interview with Wow Hydrate. One of the issues posed to him was whether he wanted to play alongside Messi or Ronaldo.
The Belgian international chose Ronaldo over Messi solely because the Portuguese is a striker and Messi's game is akin to what he provides on the pitch. Manchester City's star player stated the following:
"Because he's more of a traditional striker, I'd pick Ronaldo. Messi's role in the team is still that of a playmaker. You can give me a striker because I'm a playmaker!"
