Manchester United supporters have long claimed that their team is the best in the world, but a study by Betsperts suggests otherwise.
Despite their on-field troubles following yet another terribly disappointing season at Old Trafford, their fan base and support have not dwindled.
They are extremely well-known throughout the world, and almost everyone has heard of Manchester United.
However, according to a Betsperts survey, they are just the world's second most popular sports team, with Spanish champions Real Madrid taking the first spot.

The top 10 was dominated by European football teams, with only the Golden State Warriors of the NBA making it into the top ten.
Betsperts produced the list after doing a global analysis to see which teams were searched the most on Google in every country on the planet. European football once again demonstrated its superiority over other sports by dominating the list.
There were 53 countries that were looked into. Real Madrid is supported by more countries than any other sports team on the planet, but United is a close second, with 50 countries supporting the Red Devils. Barcelona finished in third place, far behind the top two, with 23 countries voting for the Catalan club.
The fact that Stephen Curry is a member of the NBA's Golden State Warriors would have undoubtedly aided their surge in global popularity, as they finished tenth overall and topped searches in three nations.
United will be disappointed to finish second, as they have always believed that they are the best club in the world. However, the team's recent on-field struggles may have contributed to their loss to Real Madrid.
The Old Trafford club will be hopeful that Erik ten Hag's arrival would help to turn things around on the field. United had a disastrous season in both local and European tournaments, falling far short of the club's fan base's lofty expectations. United finished the season with 58 points, the lowest point total in Premier League history.
