SOME THINGS THAT HINDER WOMEN FROM GETTING MARRIED.

1. Fear of marriage due to previous bad experiences from others
Many women desire marriage, and think about it more than men, but it is also true that a number
of women entertain some fears when they think about marrying. They are afraid they will be
mistreated by the man; some are afraid they may be divorced or that they may be enslaved by
the husband and their in-laws, and perhaps suffer the same marital tragedies of their mothers.
2. Some women have some negative perceptions about men in general because of our own
traditions.
Depending on where they come from, some women believe that men are generally inconsiderate
and abusive.
3. Interferences from family members about choice
Some families interfere with the choices their women make regarding their future husbands
4. Setting high standards of preference based on looks, financial or social status
It is normal to have a picture of the kind of man you want to marry, but if your standard is not
realistic, you may end up not finding anyone to marry you. This is because there is no ideal
person for marriage. It is almost impossible to find a believing, handsome, six-feet tall man who
is rich, comes from a good home, from the tribe you want and is caring and has all the other
character traits you desire in a man.
5. Being unappreciative of the key roles of the wife as the manager of the home (eg. cooking,
cleaning, managing resources, receiving visitors, etc.)
Any woman who does not fully understand what the key roles of a wife are in the marital home,
may find it difficult to receive proposals from good men.
6. Domineering and general lack of submission
Most men will run away from women who are not ready to submit to them.
7. Having too many male friends
If you are friends with a lot of males, you will confuse your potential suitors and drive them
away. Decent men do not want to be seen “competing” with other men for one woman.
8. Laziness, not wanting to be gainfully employed
If a man who is interested in marrying you finds you to be a lazy person, who does not like hard
work, that would make him change his mind about his decision.
9. Wasteful, extravagant and love for pleasure
Women who are more interested in spending or wasting money than saving money will find it
difficult to attract most men.
10. Making too many financial demands on men
Many believing men find it difficult handling women who make financial demands persistently
on them. Most men do not feel obliged to be financially responsible to the women they are yet
to marry.
11. Known or perceived to be sexually immoral
If you are sexually immoral or are perceived to be one, no man will be willing to marry you.
12. Spiritual problem: demonic attack leading to spiritual marriage; anti-marriage demonic
stronghold in the family.
Some women are not married because they are under the influence of some demonic infiltration,
normally due to some family curses or some sins they themselves have committed but have not
repented from.
PRAYERS POINTS (FOR WOMEN):
1.I pray that I shall not be controlled by the bad marital experiences of others, in Jesus name
2.I receive marital favour from today, in Jesus name
3. I bind every demonic stronghold in my mind affecting my relationship with the opposite sex,
in Jesus name
4. I pray against family interferences concerning the kind of person I marry in Jesus name
5. I pray that I shall not esteem myself more than I ought to, but allow the wisdom of God to guide
me in choosing who to marry.
6. Father, by your grace, make me a woman of substance that men will admire and not run away
from. Let your favour draw the partner you have prepared close to me, in Jesus name.
7. I pray for a spirit of submission and humility coupled with the fear of God, that attracts God?fearing men to me, in Jesus name
8. From today, let every man around me who is not meant for me be taken out of my life so far as
marriage is concerned in the name of Jesus
9. I pray that from today I shall live a more productive life that attracts the man who is ready for
marriage.
10. Let every laziness in my life give way to diligence in the name of Jesus
11. I pray for the spirit of modesty and spiritual maturity that will make men want to marry me
12. Father help me have my financial freedom so I shall not depend on anyone to supply my needs,
as I prepare for marriage, in Jesus name
13. I break the power of sexual immorality over my life in Jesus name.
