On the eve of the Champions League final, five things were spotted in Liverpool training.
Liverpool have been training in preparation for their match against Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid this weekend, with both teams hoping to add another Champions League trophy to their collection.
Liverpool held a pre-match training session at the Stade de France to prepare for Saturday night's Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Jurgen Klopp's team is aiming for their third trophy of the season, having already won the EFL and FA Cup. The Reds have had a fantastic season, despite missing out on the Premier League title by a point on the final day to Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti's side is attempting to complete the double after winning La Liga. They finished 13 points ahead of Barcelona in the table and are vying for a 14th European title with a victory in Paris.
Both teams trained on Friday afternoon in preparation for the big game. So, with that in mind, here are five things we learned from Liverpool's session at France's national stadium.
Due to injury, it was unclear whether the Liverpool duo would play this weekend. Fabinho has not played since a 2-1 win over Aston Villa on May 10 and will miss the FA Cup final, while Thiago was substituted at halftime in the final-day clash with Wolves.
Both, however, were seen training with the Liverpool squad in Paris. As they warmed up in the sun, the pair appeared to be running effortlessly. This is good news for the Reds, who could play with both midfielders. Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, and James Milner are also on the team.
Virgil van Djik, who was an unused substitute in Liverpool's win over Wolves last weekend, is another possible injury doubt. He hasn't played since the FA Cup final, missing the 2-1 win over Southampton and the club's final league game of the season.
However, the Dutch international appeared to be in good shape while training with his teammates. Van Djik, who injured his knee against Chelsea two weeks ago, was sprinting with Ibrahima Konate and Andrew Robertson and appeared to come through unscathed, which is good news for Liverpool fans.
Salah is prepared to exact vengeance.
For Mohamed Salah, this is more than just another final. The Egyptian is out for vengeance after being taken off in the first half of the 2018 Champions League final with a shoulder injury after colliding with Sergio Ramos.
He has not forgotten the incident, and after it was announced that Liverpool would face Real Madrid in the final, he tweeted, "we have a score to settle." The 29-year-old appeared focused during training and will undoubtedly be motivated to win his second Champions League winner's medal.
Despite the pressure of such a big game, the mood in the Liverpool camp seemed upbeat. If the Reds defeat Real Madrid, they will become the joint-second most successful team in European Cup and Champions League history, alongside AC Milan, with seven titles.
