Chelsea supporters believe Trent Alexander-Arnold has proven that Reece James is a better player.Chelsea supporters believe Reece James is a better full-back than Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was blamed for Liverpool's winning goal in the Champions League final. After the Liverpool ace was at fault for Real Madrid's winning goal in the Champions League final, jubilant Chelsea fans have stated that Trent Alexander-Arnold has proven that Reece James is the better right-back.

The Reds were defeated 1-0 by Los Blancos at the Stade de France, putting an end to their campaign for a seventh European Cup. On the hour mark, Vinicius Jr scored the game's sole goal, leaving Liverpool cursing their luck for the second time in a week after being beaten to the Premier League title by Manchester City last weekend.Real Madrid's match-winning goal was scored behind a motionless Alexander-Arnold, and Blues fans took to social media to mock the Reds' hapless right-back.

Alexander-Arnold is largely considered as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League, and he has been competing for a starting berth in the England team with the likes of James and Kyle Walker. Chelsea supporters, on the other hand, have used Alexander-defensive Arnold's gaffe to demonstrate why their man should be ahead of Liverpool's ace."That's why Reece James should start for England by the way," one fan wrote, while another claimed, "That goal never happens with Reece James just saying..."

Another fan echoed those sentiments with the following tweet: ""If that was Reece James RB defending that," one user wrote, while another simply slammed Alexander-Arnold, writing: "Trent sleeping at the back post & leaving his man?" In other news, it's raining."As a result of the defeat, Liverpool's season ends with only the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup. And Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard argued that his previous side "didn't do much wrong" in Paris, insisting that his former side "didn't do much wrong."

"It's a bit of a puzzle. I don't believe Liverpool made many mistakes. They weren't clinical or ruthless enough to take those opportunities, but a keeper just won MOTM in a final against them."He did, however, expect Jurgen Klopp's team to bounce back from their heartbreaking defeat, saying: "They will, without a doubt, bounce back. You can learn from those experiences. This game will either be the best or worst night of your life. They'll pick themselves up and do it all over again next year."The battle between Alexander-Arnold and Vinicius was expected to be critical to the outcome before of the game, and it proved to be so as Jurgen Klopp's team fell to a 1-0 defeat.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was named Man of the Match after making nine saves to keep Liverpool at bay. After absorbing the strain, the Spanish giants seized their opportunity. It was a heartbreaking conclusion to a fantastic season for the Reds, who came so close to completing a historic quadruple before missing out on the Premier League by one point and being barely defeated in their final game.
