WHY ARSENAL SHOULD REGISTER PATRICK SCHICK

Here is your challenge. Find me a striker who has scored as many goals as Patrik Schick in the top 5 European leagues with Arsenal connections.

Are you back? In this case, you will most likely go away empty-handed. That's not to say Arsenal don't have connections with other top-class strikers. Gabriel Jesus, Jonathan David and Tammy Abraham are all proving to be excellent strikers for their clubs, and I will not close the door for any potential change at Emirates Stadium.

However, if Mikel Arteta wants a striker that will wear the number 9 shirt and include everything a traditional striker has, then Schick is a difficult profile to improve. A powerful, dangerous, fast and clinical finish is what you get when you sign Schick.

Everyone can take his record ahead of his time with Bayer Leverkusen as a mark dubious impression. Personally, looking at the present, I see a striker who has promised a lot with his performances at the European Championship and then 24 goals in the Bundesliga this season. Some strikers begin to blossom later in their careers and Schick appears to be another.

His raw goals tally in the Bundesliga are a clear sign of his raw quality, but what also differentiates him from his potential transfer rivals is actually his age profile. Age has become such a crucial factor in transfer decisionmaking; especially at Arsenal where Mikel Arteta has lowered the overall age of the squad.

However, squad balance should be taken into account and with age comes plenty of other qualities incorporated into the rather broad term of experience. At 26 and having played in two of Europe`s top leagues for four different clubs, Schick has plenty of this.

With young players swarming Arsenal's attack, adding another young striker like 22-year-old Darwin Nunez to the squad might not be the best idea to build a forward line. Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, EmileSmith Rowe and Martin Odegaard are all 23 years old or younger.

Not to mention that players like Cody Gakpo and Moussa Diaby have the ability to move out into wide areas that are also suitable for this young age. It is hoped that entering the Champions League will call for great individuals to step up and possess the leading edge, experience and composure that will elevate Arsenal's attack.

There is no doubt that in terms of price it would be very expensive to buy him from Bayer Leverkusen, who expressed reluctance to sell. Sport Bild reckons he could hit close to €70m (£58m). However, I am sure that an Arsenal with ambitions to challenge for the highest honors should consider a striker with a long history to take them there. of a potential customer with many potentials.

We've asked all of Arsenal's writers about the striker Mikel Arteta and Edu should bring in this summer.
