The summer transfer window will see a fair amount of spending from Bayern Munich to strengthen the attack for next season. The Bavarian club have been forced to spend a lot of money on strikers because Robert Lewandowski wants to leave and join FC Barcelona in the next few months.
Although many Bayern officials insist that Lewandowski will play in Germany next season, it seems that the Polish striker has played his last game in a Bavarian shirt. Moreover, Die Roten is also looking for signings that can effectively replace Lewandowski.
VfB Sasa Kalajdzic of VfB Stuttgart has emerged as one of two signings Die Roten could make this summer to make up for Lewandowski's departure. According to Sky Sports, the Austrian striker's representative was spotted at Sabner Strasse after the conclusion of the Bundesliga campaign.
Signing Kalajdzic will not be easy for the German champions. According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are also looking to recruit the 24-year-old striker. Kalajdzic will have more game time at Dortmund as he is likely to become the second-choice striker at Die Roten.
Bild also reports that Die Roten has been in talks with the player to complete a potential transfer. The German news agency insists negotiations are fruitless as Kalajdzic does not want to become a reserve striker, which could be his role in Bavaria.
Dortmund are Bayern's strongest contenders to sign Kalajdzic, but have already received significant interest from Europe's top clubs. The Bavarian club will have to quickly find a deal with him or risk losing to Dortmund or another European club. The next few weeks will bring clarity about Kalajdzic. Stuttgart is said to be looking to put down 2,530 million euros for the Austrian striker.
The Reds consider Kalajdich to be Plan B in 9th place. His tall height allows him to play as a target man. The current Bavarian team lacks such a profile, so it's not surprising that they are keen on landing Karadži. However, if purchased to play the role of Plan B, his play time will be significantly shorter.
The most important new offensive signature for the Reds this summer could be Sadio Mané. The Bavarian club is cautiously optimistic about this transfer as discussions are underway with representatives of Manes. Liverpool may have to approve the mane as the current contract expires in 2023. Recently, Mane has also kept a secret about his future. He talks about his future after Saturday's Champions League final against Real Madrid.
