The Assistant Headmaster of Bole SHS is scheduled to appear in court for allegedly rapping a senior student.
Issahaku Jeduah, the Assistant Headmaster of Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region, is scheduled to appear before the Tamale circuit court on May 31, 2022, in connection with an alleged rape case involving a final year student at the school.
A source close to the Bole District Police Command confirmed this.
The case was presented to the Bole Magistrate Court on Friday, May 27, 2022, according to the source.
The prosecution team was then directed to bring the investigation to a conclusion before May 31.
According to the source, the Bole Magistrate Court can only adjourn and remand the suspect until the prosecution team has gathered all relevant information.
Background
Mr. Issahaku Jeduah, the assistant headmaster at Bole Senior High School, was arrested on Wednesday, May 25 for allegedly rapping one of the school's final year students.
He is said to have fled the school and the Bole township after police surrounded the school in an attempt to apprehend him after the victim and her parents filed an official complaint.
The victim (name withheld) claimed that the suspect enticed her to his office under the guise of providing advice and forced an intimate relationship with her during prep hours.
"He invited me to his office during prep hours under the guise of advising me, only to force me to sleep with him and threaten to fire me if I revealed what happened between us," the victim said in a previous interview.
To receive medical attention, the victim was admitted to the Bole Government Hospital.
Meanwhile, the suspect is being held in police custody while the prosecution team conducts further investigations in preparation for his arraignment in court.

Maame Adjoa, a woman in her 40s who was found dead in her room in Mempeasem, a suburb of Bole in the Savannah Region, has been identified.
According to reports, the deceased may have died a week ago while her co-tenants were unaware.
Neighbors and co-tenants of the deceased claimed there was a foul odor coming from the room and that flies were buzzing around, but upon further investigation, it was discovered that the deceased's room was locked.
This prompted them to yank open the door, where they discovered her lifeless body was on the verge of decay.
Despite the fact that the cause of her death is unknown, her neighbors suspect foul play.
In the meantime, the incident has been reported to the Bole District Police Command, which is conducting an investigation.
