Fast-rising rapper, Black Sherif has asked his fans to refrain from comparing his career to senior artistes such as Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.
Some have praised the youngster for continuous releases of good music and most importantly his latest street jam, ‘Kweku The Traveller’ which became a viral global hit.
In the process, some netizens have compared the young talent’s success to that of some senior artistes.
Some say ‘Blacko’ as he is affectionately called by many has done what some A-List artists like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Lumba, and others couldn’t do.
Their comparisons escalated when the rapper topped the Apple Music chart in Nigeria.
Speaking on the reactions of netizens, Black Sherif believes that it is disrespectful and needless for his career to be pitched against the seniors.
“That’s being disrespectful and there is no need for it. People that really love me don’t do that. All those things are for retweets, likes, and reactions. I don’t believe in such things,” he stated during an interview on Ghanaweb’s Talkertainemnt show.
The rapper added that he prefers not to be categorized as is being done by some citizens

Black Sherif is of the opinion that those who compare artists only do that for themselves and not for the game. “If you respect the game, you won’t do that”, he added.
