THE ICUMBENCY FACES REJECTION IN THE NPP WESTERN NORTH REGIONAL ELECTIONS

Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) within the North West Region, voted close to certain local officials when they were undoubtedly cut off in the run-up to the election.

They elected the highest-ranking chairman, Mr Benjamin Armah, who received 105 votes to defeat the incumbent, and Mr William Benjamin Assuah, who had the most votes.

Mr Eric Theophilus Tandoh, the lead Deputy Chairperson, continued to perform well with 111 votes, at the same time as his rivals, Mr Matthew Asante, and Madam Victoria Owusu Fuachi, came out with 80 votes in a row.

The second deputy chairperson, Mr Ernest Nkrumah, received 122 votes in a landslide victory over the candidate, Madam Janet Amankwah, who received 77 votes.

Nasara Coordinator, Alhaji Alhasan Abdul Rahman, said that his successor, Abubakar Yanus, also received eighty-five votes at the same time as Alhaji Rahman and Mr Abdul Mumien Mohammed who did not get 56 votes and lviii votes each.

Mr John Amokye received 100 votes defeating the incumbent treasurer, Madam Gifty Adu Ankamah, who received ic votes and as a result the incumbent, Mr Adu Agyei came out of the constituency with 76 votes to Mr Nyame Mcdaniel, who received 122 votes.

To the secretary, Mr Prophet Kofi Abiaw, incumbent, was defeated in the manner of Mr Felix Foster Ackah by a single, zero and unchanging vote for the cardinal, while thanking the secretary's assistant, Mr Alex. Kwadwo Monney was able to cast his ballot with 113 votes and Mr Francis Kwaku Afanyo with more than 80-5 votes.

Mam Golly Antwi Boasiako, the incumbent girl's organizer won her four battles with ic votes at the same time as Madam Juliana Aidoo voting, five, Madam Janet Danso had six, Madam Ruth Akosua Mintah, twenty and Nana Yaa Appiah, twenty-five votes per person.

The incumbent Youth coordinator, Mr Archangel Dor, received eighty-six votes to monitor his performance at the same time as Mr Tweneboah Akwasi Afriyie and Mr Gabriel Anokye, who contested him outside the region with 74 and forty-five votes respectively.

The elected chairman, Mr Benjamin Armah, expressed sympathy for the delegates during the birthday celebration and promised to immediately arrange with all NPP stakeholders to support the birthday celebration and preserve the 1/3 birthday celebrations in government.

All 199 delegates from 9 constituencies within the Western North region took part in the by-elections on Friday.
