Akufo-Addo government is wasteful and useless – Ato Forson.
When it comes to economic management, the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been described as "wasteful and useless" by Cassiel Ato Forson, Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency and former deputy Minister of Finance.
According to him, the government is ruining the Ghanaian economy, and it would be better if President Akuffo Addo declared the country a High-Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) and set the country free rather than mismanaging it.
"If the hardship continues in this manner, Ghana will be crushed; in fact, everything under Nana Akufo Addo's government is mismanaged." The Nana Akufo-Addo government's hastily implemented Free Senior High School policy is collapsing. As a result of poor economic management, the School Feeding Program has completely collapsed."
Dr. Ato Forson, the Minority Spokesperson on Finance, stated during the First General Meeting of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TAIN) of the University of Education Winneba, Ajumako Campus on the Theme: Building to Recapture Power in 2024, the Role of TAIN, that about 90.99 percent of loans secured by the government are being used to pay the debt incurred by the government.
"I challenge Nana Akuffo Addo's New Patriotic Party government to name a single successful initiative they have implemented; he has destroyed all of the good policies implemented by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) before leaving office."
"Under Nana Akuffo Addo's NPP government, the country is on the verge of collapsing." The difficulties Ghanaians face are incomprehensible; in fact, Ghanaians are already fed up with the New Patriotic Party.
As a result, the majority of New Patriotic Party members have decided to vote against the party in the general election of 2024. As a Member of Parliament and a Minority Ranking Member, I will not sit idly by while this country is crushed by economic mismanagement.
I expect Nana Akufo Addo to resign as President and leave the country for the good guys, the NDC, to take over and fill all the economic voids left by the New Patriotic Party."
Dr. Ato Forson has urged the National Democratic Congress to provide jobs for TAIN members if they win the upcoming general election in 2024, which the NDC is expected to win.
He stated that most TAIN members are currently having difficulty paying their school fees due to economic hardship.
He urged all TAIN members in the country to vote out the Akufo Addo government in order to save the country from impending economic hardship in 2024.
