COURTOIS MAKES TOP 20 IN BALLON D'OR POWER RANKING, WHILE MENDY & ALISSON MISS OUT

1. Thibaut Courtois - Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is currently ranked as the 11th best player in the world and is a strong contender for the Ballon D'Or award in the 2021/22 season.

 

 

Courtois is the only goalkeeper in the European Top 5: leagues that made the cut.

 

2. Bernardo Silva - Bernardo Silva, the talisman of Manchester City, is currently ranked as the world's No. 12 player, based on his performances for the club in the recently concluded Premier League competition.

Last season, Silva led Manchester City to back-to-back Premier League titles.

 

3. New Liverpool signing Luis Diaz Luis Diaz was also named to the list as a result of his contributions to Liverpool since joining from FC Porto.

In his first season with Liverpool, Diaz won two trophies (the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup).

 

 

4. Thiago - Liverpool midfield maestro Thiago Alcantara, who is currently ranked as the world's 14th best player after winning the FA Cup and reaching the Champions League final with the Reds.

5. Christopher Nkunku - After winning the 2021/22 Bundesliga player of the season with RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku climbed to the 15th spot on the list. For further information, see the image below.

Note: Due to their performances in the Premier League tournament this season, Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker did not enter the top 20 list. Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid, on the other hand, made the list after winning the Champions League and La Liga with the club.
