Harry Kane "holds negotiations" with Liverpool, according to a report.Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane has held conversations with Liverpool about a shock switch to Merseyside. The Anfield Wrap (opens in new tab) podcast claims that the England captain has been identified as a potential successor to Bayern Munich's Sadio Mané, who is due to leave Anfield this summer.

Mané has been linked with a move away from Liverpool, six years after coming from Southampton. The Senegalese has won everything during his time on Merseyside and will leave at the age of 30 with only a year left on his current deal.Since the advent of Luis Diaz as Liverpool's primary left-winger, Mané has played as a No.9. Kane would bring a more natural striker to Jurgen Klopp's side, but one who could offer similar traits in many respects.Kane is skilled at pushing and drifts off the frontline in Antonio Conte's side to provide Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski on either side of him, despite being a fantastic finisher himself. If Jurgen Klopp used the England player, he would very certainly do the same job in Liverpool's starting lineup.

However, according to the man himself, he is content in north London.

"Antonio is a fantastic manager, and I'm having a great time working with him," the striker told FFT exclusively earlier this month. "He just adds a lot of energy, emotion, and enthusiasm to training and games, and it makes you want to work." You want to put in long hours for him and run for him."Jimmy Greaves was a tremendous player for both club and country, scoring an extraordinary number of goals in a short period of time," Kane added. "It's something to strive for." I've got a few more goals to go, but it'd be fantastic to be Spurs' all-time leading goalscorer."Kane is worth £90 million according to Transfermarkt (opens in new tab).
