Chelsea Football Club has been purchased by an investor group led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

He made the following remarks after the takeover.

"We are honoured to become the new custodians of Chelsea Football Club," Boehly stated in a statement released by the club. Every minute of every match, we're all in – 100 percent.

"As owners, we have a clear vision: we want to make the fans proud. Our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea's remarkable history of success, in addition to our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent.

I'd want to express my gratitude to British government ministers and officials, as well as the Premier League, for their efforts in making this possible.

According to a report in The Sun earlier this month, Boehly and his partners are worth a total of £10.86 billion.

According to the Times, this makes them significantly wealthier than Abramovich, who is estimated to be worth £6 billion.

But, in comparison to other Premier League owners, how affluent are Chelsea's new owners?

We've classified every Premier League club's owner from 'poorest' to 'richest' using data provided by talkSPORT in October 2021, as well as other sources...

Matthew Benham (£3 million) of Brentford is number 20.

Andrea Radrizzani (£344 million) is the 19th player on the list for Leeds.

Evangelos Marinakis (£505 million) – 18. Nottingham Forest (Per the Mirror)

Tony Bloom (£765 million) is the 17th most valuable player in Brighton.

16. Maxim Denim (£900 million) – Bournemouth (Per the Mirror)

15. David Sullivan and David Gold of West Ham United (£1.62 billion)

Everton (£1.9 billion) — Farhad Moshiri

John Henry (£2.14 billion) is the 13th most valuable company in Liverpool.

John Henry, the owner of Liverpool, is worth £2.14 billion, making him the 14th richest owner in the Premier League.

Matthew Benham, the owner of Brentford, is worth 'only' £3 million. That just goes to illustrate how well the club has been operated since he took over.
