Salah beat De Bruyne to be crowned Premier League Fans' Player of the Year.In the 2021-22 season, the forward scored 23 league goals to help the Reds finish second behind Manchester City.

 

Mohamed Salah of Liverpool has been elected PFA Fans' Player of the Year for 2021-22, defeating Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.De Bruyne won the Premier League Player of the Season award, which was decided by a public vote along with votes from the 20 club captains and a panel of football experts.

 

Salah had another fantastic season for Liverpool, scoring 23 goals and assisting 13 times in the Premier League.

Both players were key members of their teams during a tense title race, which Manchester City won on the final day of the season.

 

They played quite different roles, which influenced the quantity of chances they had in front of goal, but they were both involved in a large number of goals for their respective clubs.

 

Salah had 36 goal involvements and shared the Golden Boot with Son Heung-min, while De Bruyne recovered from early season injuries to contribute 23 goals from a deeper position.

Salah won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, while De Bruyne won the Premier League.

In the end-of-season Sports Mole Readers' Awards, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was elected Premier League Manager of the Year, beating Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

 

During the 2021-22 season, Klopp guided Liverpool to a second-place finish in the Premier League, rebounding from a 14-point deficit at one point to push the title fight to the final day and ultimately lose by a point to Man City.

Liverpool also won the EFL Cup and FA Cup, as well as reaching the Champions League final in Paris, bringing them closer to completing a quadruple than any other English club.

 

Klopp received 41 percent of the voting at the end-of-season honors, beating out title-winning manager Pep Guardiola, who received 30.5 percent of the vote.

 

The two were the two standout candidates for the award, each receiving over 70% of the vote, with Eddie Howe of Newcastle United coming in third with 8.5 percent of the vote.Howe guided the Magpies to an incredible turnaround in the second half of the season, guiding them out of the relegation zone and into 11th place.
