Erik ten Hag may find it difficult to integrate Darwin Nunez into his Manchester United system, while Robert Lewandowski has hinted at a move to the club.
Erik ten Hag lays out his plans for Manchester United.
When it comes to Manchester United's summer business, Darwin Nunez is a name that won't go away.
Even with Edinson Cavani poised to go and Cristiano Ronaldo as the club's only other out-and-out attacker, new boss Erik ten Hag may find it difficult to shoehorn the Benfica striker into his starting lineup if he signs him this summer.
Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich has also been discussed, and he has now left the door open for United to make a move for him. And United's chances of signing Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante have been severely harmed.

Nunez issues a 'challenge.'
If Erik ten Hag signs Darwin Nunez from Benfica, he may find it difficult to integrate him into his team.
As Ten Hag tries to add additional firepower up forward, the Uruguayan has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Nunez is primarily a center-forward, although he also has the ability to play on the left side of a front three or in a more withdrawn role.
That has helped him be effective in front of goal, but it could be an issue if Ten Hag authorizes a transfer to United. This season, Cristiano Ronaldo will exclusively play in the center for Manchester United, with Marcus Rashford reportedly being considered for the same role.
Fitting Nunez into a team with Ronaldo and Rashford could be tricky, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp describing developing a system for the forward as a "challenge."
The eyes of Lewandowski move.
After announcing his retirement from Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski might be another possibility for Manchester United this summer.
With his current contract expiring in a year, the Poland international is said to have informed his club executives that he will not be signing a new contract with Bayern. Manchester United has been linked with a bid for Lewandowski, while Barcelona is seen to be the favorite.
United, on the other hand, has long admired the striker, having sought to sign him before Sir Alex Ferguson signed Robin van Persie in 2012. And his most recent statement could pave the way for United to try again with the striker.

Kante throws a punch
Thomas Tuchel has expressed his displeasure with star player Eden Hazard's decision to join Manchester United this summer.
The Red Devils have had problems in midfield in recent years, and speculations have claimed that Kane could be brought in to help. According to sources, Chelsea manager Tuchel is unwilling to let the Frenchman go for a Premier League competitor.
Despite his contract at Stamford Bridge expiring in a year, Tuchel previously regarded Kane as a "essential player" for Chelsea.
