The winners of the EPL's official goal, save, and game changer of the season awards have been announced.
Winner of the Season's Best Goal Award
With his beautiful goal against Manchester City in the 2-2 draw at Anfield Stadium in October, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah added the Goal of the Season trophy to his already amazing collection of awards from previous season.
The Liverpool midfielder received the award after weaving past three Manchester City players, twisting and turning past a fourth, then blasting a shot past Ederson with his right foot from a tight angle. Given the circumstances in which it was scored, the goal was also significant.
Mohamed Salah has now won the Goal of the Season title three times in the English Premier League.
Winner of the Season's Best Save Award
Jordan Pickford received the most votes in a poll of ten spectacular saves from the 2021/22 season, earning him the Save of the Season accolade.
The accolade was given to the English international for his save against Chelsea. In terms of skill and significance, the save was outstanding. Everton beat Chelsea 1-0 after Mason Mount's shot hit both posts. Pickford raced across his line and then dived in the opposite direction to keep out Azpilicueta's rebound. The save marked the turning point in Everton's season, as the Toffees pulled two points clear of relegation and avoided relegation.
Winner of the Season's Game Changer Award
Liverpool would have won the English Premier League title if Ilkay Gundogan had not come on late in the second half against Aston Villa.
Manchester City was on the danger of losing the Premier League title when Aston Villa raced to a 2-0 lead, but the introduction of Ilkay Gundogan, who scored two goals in six minutes, helped the Cityzens win their fourth title in five years.
