Mohamed Salah's goal tally since arriving at Liverpool is nothing short of extraordinary but he has also been criticised by some onlookers for alleged greediness

Thierry Henry has praised Mohamed Salah for altering his game with the Liverpool man now laying on goals for his teammates as well as scoring them.

The Egyptian enjoyed another stellar campaign at Anfield to cement his place among Europe's greatest players. Since joining the Reds in 2017, Salah has been hugely prolific and he recently picked up his third Golden Boot award. This term he scored 23 top-flight goals and 31 times in all competitions, while also leading the Premier League in assists with 13.

Salah has not always been known for that, instead preferring to be the man who converts the chances. But Arsenal hero Henry has highlighted how the Liverpool star has been able to provide for those around him having previously taken the solo route.

He told CBS Sports : “Also assists, he has been doing that recently a lot, especially to (Sadio) Mane. He’s looking to give the ball, more often than not. Before, he used to try and to bulldoze his way in all the time. But now he is looking to have those little assists.”

Salah has previously copped criticism for being what some people deemed as greedy. The forward has been known to take on chances when teammates were perhaps in better positions, which has resulted in angry reactions in the past.

Arsene Wenger said previously: "I find he’s a good finisher but Messi has the complete thing, he gives the final ball as well. Salah is a bit obsessed with finishing himself. That's a dimension he'll get certainly, when he grows a little bit older, to find the moment when you have to give the ball and when you have to finish."

Graeme Souness has also echoed that in The Sunday Times, saying: "He is perhaps as greedy a player as I have seen. All the top names have an element of that but he is extremely selfish. Personal targets are important to him and he shoots from every possible angle, which frustrates his team-mates at times — especially Mane."

In response, Jurgen Klopp has previously defended his player, stating: “It is his desire, it is his professionalism and it is his greed which helps us completely. Scoring these numbers is absolutely exceptional.”

Salah himself faces an uncertain future at Anfield with his goals and individual accolades seeing him morph into one of the world's most sought-after players. His contract at Liverpool expires next summer and whilst he's staying for a further 12 months, he's offered no assurances on his future beyond that.
