SUMMER TRANSFERS AT LIVERPOOL: POTENTIAL STARTING XI FOR 2022/23

Liverpool may have missed out on the Premier League and Champions League finals, but Jurgen Klopp's team had a fantastic season in 2012/13.Throughout the season, they played every game possible and demonstrated amazing fight, stamina, and courage despite the fact that the matches kept coming.

The Reds, though, understand that strengthening and improving their squad is the best way to keep up with Manchester City and the other sides aspiring to be as good as them, so expect some changes at Anfield this summer.

In the 2022/23 season, here's how they might line up.In cup tournaments, Liverpool's goalkeeping options are quite strong, with Alisson, perhaps the best goalkeeper in the world, ably supplemented by Caoimhin Kelleher.

The Reds also have Adrian's experience to draw on in the event of an injury, though the Spaniard has hinted that he'd like to have some more miles in his legs before retiring, and Loris Karius is still around. No, he really does.

With Jurgen Klopp's efforts farther up the pitch, it's not an area that Liverpool urgently needs to improve.Liverpool's defense is another strong point, with options on the right, in the centre, and on the left.Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the best right-backs in the world, and he's now adequately supported by Joe Gomez, who is the Reds' fourth-choice centre-back. Although Neco Williams is expected to join Fulham on a permanent basis, the Welshman might be replaced as Alexander-main Arnold's understudy by outstanding Aberdeen teenager Calvin Ramsay.

Despite Joel Matip's excellent 2021/22 season, Ibrahima Konate has a good possibility of displacing him in the center of defense, where he'd likely line up with Virgil van Dijk. On the left, Andy Robertson will be in charge, with Konstantinos Tsimikas as a capable deputy.Nathaniel Phillips could be on his way out permanently, therefore a loan transfer for Rhys Williams makes sense.

Liverpool has a number of bodies in central midfield, but it's clear that younger additions are required.

Aurelien Tchouameni of Monaco appears to be on his way to Real Madrid, but nothing is certain in the transfer window, and Liverpool are interested in signing him. When Fabinho is in shape, he's a shoe-in, and Thiago's class radiates from his feet.Jordan Henderson, like Naby Keita, James Milner, and Curtis Jones, is no longer a sure starter, but he's a highly capable player. There's certainly no room at the inn for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Liverpool are known to fancy Leeds' Kalvin Phillips, who is another plausible target.

What a summer for Liverpool's front line it could be. Not only is a Sadio Mane move to Bayern Munich looking increasingly possible, but there's also a big question mark over Mohamed Salah's future - he has one year left on his contract and talks have stagnated.

Real Madrid are in desperate need of a right winger and have been connected with Salah for some time - but they couldn't, could they? Don't rule it out completely. If that scenario plays out, there are plenty of possible newcomers to be enthused about. Ajax winger Antony is a special talent who Klopp adores, while Jarrod Bowen is a long-term aim and Benfica's Darwin Nunez is also worth watching.

If you combine any two of those players with Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool will still have a plethora of talent up front. There will, however, be no more Divock Origi, and Takumi Minamino's time may have come to an end.
