Pressure bunch OneGhana Movement has required the quick end of all cycles planned to move parts of the State's advantages in the Achimota Forest into private hands.

The gathering in an explanation says while it notes with profound concern ongoing improvements encompassing the Forest, it is further "upset by advancements that evidently recommend that bits of the land might have proactively been discarded."

"Issues verging on irreconcilable situation seem to surface following reports that bits of the land might have been straightforwardly or by implication offered to the previous Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission, whose obligation among others, was to safeguard our timberland saves.

"We wish to state plainly that we are against any type of broadening of the State's advantage in the Achimota Forest given that the Achimota Forest addresses the last wilderness of the green belt inside the Accra city. Our backwoods cover as a nation is quick draining and the whole biological condition of the city is without a doubt in harm's way. In this regard, we approach Government to secure and save the State's advantage in the Achimota Forest in ceaselessness for the current and people in the future of our Motherland."

As per the OneGhana Movement, "Government endeavors to move portions of the woods to private people is much seriously vexing given the way that the Supreme Court has obviously concluded that Government is under no legitimate commitment to return handles that were recently vested in the State preceding the 1992 constitution, into private hands. Accordingly, there is neither lawful tension nor need to legitimize any activity to offer the State's advantage in the Achimota Forest. We consider the activity and posing by Government such a long ways as rash and poorly considered to ultimately benefit Ghana. We approach His Excellency the President to make quick strides to turn around all moves taken up to this point and completely reestablish the State's finished control and responsibility for whole Achimota Forest.

"The spilled data on the past offer of State lands just confirms that the maltreatment of force by the decision political first class will stay a component of our administration except if we diffuse the unreasonable power rested in a sectarian administration. It is a chilly indication of the requirement for change of basic segments of our constitution to limit or relieve the wanton maltreatment of chief power. We keep on calling for capable administration moored on support of individuals of Ghana.

"We support activities started by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and good natured Ghanaians, who have put segments of the issues before the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) and the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP). We will keep on checking what is happening and answer properly when required.

"God favor our country Ghana."
