Pressure bunch OneGhana Movement has required the quick end of all cycles planned to move parts of the State's advantages in the Achimota Forest into private hands.
The gathering in an explanation says while it notes with profound concern ongoing improvements encompassing the Forest, it is further "upset by advancements that evidently recommend that bits of the land might have proactively been discarded."
"Issues verging on irreconcilable situation seem to surface following reports that bits of the land might have been straightforwardly or by implication offered to the previous Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission, whose obligation among others, was to safeguard our timberland saves.
"We wish to state plainly that we are against any type of broadening of the State's advantage in the Achimota Forest given that the Achimota Forest addresses the last wilderness of the green belt inside the Accra city. We approach His Excellency the President to make quick strides to turn around all moves taken up to this point and completely reestablish the State's finished control and responsibility for whole Achimota Forest.
