Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United on a free transfer this summer, according to the club.
After returning to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer of 2016, the Frenchman's six-year stint at the club has come to an end due to failed contract discussions.
Pogba joined Juventus on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012, and he quickly established himself as one of the top young midfielders in the world.
So the Red Devils decided to spend £94.5 million to bring him back to Manchester, and it's reasonable to conclude that Pogba isn't worth that kind of money.
Over the last six years, he has shown flashes of his undeniable quality at United, but he has never consistently produced for the club.
Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Ralf Rangnick attempted everything they could to bring the most out of Pogba, but it was all in vain.

Pogba is clearly a player that excels in a specific footballing setting, such as the French national team, where he has been a shining star for many years.
The fact that every United manager who has worked with him has failed to bring out the finest version of Pogba further strengthens Sir Alex Ferguson's prognosis from 2010.
The renowned manager, according to former Lyon and Marseille goalkeeper Pascal Olmeta, was anxious that the midfielder would not make it because he was a "dreamer."

Fergie's forecast for Pogba, who is 17 years old.
"I was invited to Manchester United training by Sir Alex Ferguson," Omleta told RMC Sport about his meeting with Ferguson at United. I went there with two of my association's kids. He told me about Paul Pogba, who was 17 at the time, during lunch.
"'You see this player, he'll be outstanding, full of talent,' he said. He'll go to the top, but he's a dreamer, and if no one shows him the way, he'll never get there.'
"That was a couple years ago, and we're still debating it today."
Ferguson was quite accurate, wasn't he?
Pogba is anticipated to return to Juventus, where he previously excelled as a player, following his problems at United.
Red Devils fans may reflect on Pogba's second time at the club in the future and wonder.
