Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

(Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned- Surah Rum Verse 41). This is from the glorious book ( the Qur’an)
There is absolutely no doubt that this wordly outbreak is a consequence of the sins committed by us humans. At this moment in time the most certain of means for us are duas(supplications), excessive istighfar(seeking forgiveness from the Lord of the worlds), turning towards Allah(that is tauba or repentance) and individual Ibadah. And for us to establish Dawath and Ta’leem in our homes. This indeed is the fundamental means to lift the punishment of Allah and cool down the anger of Allah.
As for the outwardly means, it is equally important for us to be cautious, to use all the precautionary measures, in particular by following the guidelines of the scholars who are upon the truth ( Ulama-ul-Haq). We must also follow the guidelines of the Doctors, use the necessary treatment and cooperate with the Government and their administration. For example, not to do any gatherings as it is absolutely necessary to completely support the Government in this fight against the global pandemic.
This humble servant in accordance to the instructions of the Doctors and as a precautionary measure, I have quarantined myself here in Delhi. These precautionary measures are in no way against Yaqeen, Tawakkul or belief in Allah ( Imaan Billah). Using these means are necessary. Therefore wherever our Jamats( Congregants) are they are expected to carry out their efforts by following the laws of the Government.
Faqad Wassalam
The humble servant Mohammed Saad ??? ??

The above piece is from a scholar, who has gone into quarantine. There is a vast distinction between putting your trust in Allah or believing in Him and taking precautions against this global outbreak. The popular saying, known almost every Muslim is, tie your Camel but put your trust in Allah. That is, take all the necessary precautions and then trust in Allah by believing that whatever happens of misfortune to you afterwards, happened by the permission of Allah and if you are protected from the outbreak, then Know that your taking of precautions cannot protect you save the absolute protection from the Lord of the worlds.
Some individuals who lack the religious knowledge might think that taking precautionary measures against the pandemic is against putting ones trust in Allah, in fact it is part of putting your trust in Allah. Yours is to take the means of protection and then to Allah belongs the absolute protection.
We hope and pray that this CoViD’19 pandemic goes away faster and quicker than it came, so that life would return to normacy. Stay safe, take the precautions to lessen the degree of spread.
