Football has been referred to as one of the mediums that may be used to connect the world, as fans of football clubs or teams come from all countries, ethnic groups, and religious backgrounds, but they all put their differences aside and are united by football. Some amicably settled international disputes involving nations, ethnic groupings, and religious organizations are often concluded with a friendly football game between the warring factions.

Real Madrid's players, coaches, and board members recently visited the Virgin of Alumenda, a Catholic church in Madrid, Spain, to commemorate their UEFA Champions League final triumph against Liverpool.Real Madrid players Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy were among the Real Madrid players who attended the Thanksgiving service at the Virgin of Alumenda Catholic Church in Madrid, Spain, despite the fact that there were practicing Muslims present.

Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy, two Real Madrid players who are both devout Muslims, were instrumental in Real Madrid's triumph in the 2021–2022 football season, when they won both the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish La Liga championship.

"Cinq, cinq!" yelled Karim Benzema, his right hand open, looking at his family members in the grandstand, many of whom had traveled three hours by rail from his hometown of Lyon to the French capital. With a wide smile on his face, Vazquez began shouting it as well.

Benzema has five Champions League trophies to his name. In the last eight years, there have been five. This one has a distinct flavor because it was made in France, on French soil. Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, and Dani Carvajal are all members of this exclusive group. Carlo Ancelotti has six (two as a player and now a record four as a manager), but the Italian coach was too busy hugging to indicate six with his fingers.

Karim Benzema scored 44 goals in 46 games for Real Madrid, helping the club win its 14th UEFA Champions League trophy as well as the Spanish La Liga title, while his French counterpart, Ferland Mendy, was a key member of Real Madrid's defense line. In 35 games for Real Madrid, he scored two goals and assisted on five others.

What are your opinions on Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy, who are practicing Muslims, attending the UEFA Champions League thanksgiving service at the Virgin of Alumenda, a Catholic Church in Madrid, Spain?
