In recent years, the Premier League has been known for its high-profile transfers. It has witnessed some of the most costly transactions in football, with names like Jack Grealish, Harry Maguire, and Paul Pogba. However, these are only a few names; there are many more.Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all investing heavily to improve their squads. And, because to the recent takeover at Newcastle United, the club will be able to make such a lavish purchase in the coming days. Aston Villa's prized possession was the dynamic winger. When a squad of Manchester City's caliber comes knocking, however, it's difficult to say no. Grealish's technical ability are admired by Pep Guardiola. And it is for this reason that he enabled the board to overpay the player. Jose Mourinho took over from Louis Van Gaal, and the mercurial midfielder returned to his former club. Back in 2016, Manchester United made waves when Pogba became the most expensive purchase. The flamboyant midfielder split the English media, with one side praising his natural brilliance and the other slamming his every move. Overall, Pogba's love-hate relationship with the English media may be coming to an end as he prepares to leave United after six years.

Harry Maguire's move to Manchester United smashed practically every defensive transfer record. For a long time, the former Leicester City player was on United's radar. During his time at United, Jose Mourinho was also interested in him. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though, was the one who landed him in 2020.
