After getting clearance from the Bank of Ghana, the Board of Directors of eTranzact Ghana has named Mr. John Kwadwo Obeng Apea as the company's Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Mr. Apea brings several years of business experience as the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council's Head of Mission (Ghana, Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon), a body established by 54 Commonwealth Heads of Government to promote trade and investment across the Commonwealth's 2.4 billion citizens. Mr. Apea has played a key role in attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Sub-Saharan Africa in this capacity.

He is a valued business advisor to many international leaders and the first port of call for various foreign governments, multinational corporations, and CEOs on African business and politics.

"I am delighted and excited to begin my next chapter as the first CEO of eTranzact Ghana," John Apea said in his remarks. As Ghana's largest electronic payment solution provider, I'm enthusiastic about our progress in the technology arena, as well as the new growth and market prospects we're pursuing throughout our platform."

"Thanks to the current leadership and strategic advice from Executive Director George Babafemi, as well as the devotion of our worldwide team, we are able to achieve our goals," he said.

eTranzact Ghana will continue to lead from a position of strength as Africa actively engages in the fourth industrial revolution – the Internet of Things – for the first time in history. I'm looking forward to working with our amazing team to expand on our solid basis and deepen our customer ties."

John attended Achimota Preparatory School and Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (Legon) and earned undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from the Universities of York (UK), Oxford (UK), and the Judge School of Business, University of Cambridge (UK). He belongs to the Institute of Directors (UK).
