Minority files 3 urgent questions to demand details of monies spent on National Cathedral.
The Minority in Parliament have documented three pressing inquiries to constrain Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister for Finance, to give subtleties on how much the state has spent on the National Cathedral undertaking.
The activity by the Minority follows the flow of a letter showing the arrival of an extra seed cash of GH¢25 million from public money chests for the venture.
Over the period, government has shown that the undertaking is to be supported to a great extent by gifts from the Christian people group.
Addressing the press on Thursday, June 2, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said, "The primary critical inquiry is about how much citizens' assets delivered for the National Cathedral undertaking so far. The second dire inquiry is to pose to the Minister answerable for Finance, the amount of citizen reserves have been utilized to pay Adjaye and Associates and different experts chipping away at the National Cathedral task.
"The third dire inquiry which remains for the sake of Kwame Agbodza connects with the acquisition processes since we have done our checks, and we are not persuaded that the obtainment regulation has been conformed to."
The North Tongu MP had asserted that President Akufo-Addo requested the arrival of the said sum.
He noticed that the choice is uncaring toward the predicament of common Ghanaians notwithstanding current monetary challenges.
In a post on his virtual entertainment pages, Ablakwa said: "The bearing of this nation is presently in an unstable express that we can never again stay silent and acknowledge all of this wanton dissemination of scant assets to proceed."
