We've compiled a list of the most recent Liverpool news stories, including Mohamed Salah's comments on the 2021/22 season and the Reds' response to new allegations from France.

On Friday, June 3rd, your morning Liverpool headlines.

'But in the end,' Mohamed Salah says in an emotional message released by Liverpool.

Liverpool fans have received an emotional thank you note from Mohamed Salah.

The Reds forward scored 31 goals in all competitions this season, and he was instrumental in bringing two big trophies to Anfield. Salah won the Premier League Golden Boot and a slew of individual trophies, including the Football Writers' Association Player of the Year title, in addition to helping Liverpool win the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Salah made his final appearance of the season in Real Madrid's Champions League final defeat. Thibaut Courtois stopped numerous Egyptian chances as Liverpool lost 1-0 at the Stade de France in Paris.

Salah has penned a thank-you message to Liverpool fans on Twitter following the season's completion. The 29-year-old then went on to discuss the final against Madrid in Paris.

Salah posted on Twitter, "I cannot convey in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool, but in the end we couldn't."

Liverpool have slammed the 'disgraceful' statements made by a French minister and have questioned them. Independent UEFA report on the Champions League final shambles.

Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan lambasted "disgraceful" comments by French interior minister Gerald Darmanin, who continued to blame supporters for the trouble, in a letter to UEFA seeking clarification on the proposed probe into the pandemonium at the Champions League final.

The Reds have already received almost 6,500 accounts from fans who were involved in the events at the Stade de France before, during, and after Saturday night's 1-0 loss in Paris.

Despite strong evidence to the contrary, Darmanin and sport minister Amelie Oudea-Castera said on Wednesday that Reds fans were to fault when they appeared before the French senate.

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner requested an independent probe in a letter to UEFA on Monday, with the governing body having commissioned an independent report conducted by Dr Tiago Brandao Rodrigues from Portugal.

"We at Liverpool have been demanding for an inquiry into what happened in Paris on Saturday, not a report," Hogan stated in his last update to supporters on Thursday. Those, in my opinion, are two very distinct things.
