After winning the award in 2006-07 and 2007-08, Ronaldo has been nominated for it again, and he might become the first player to win it three times.
United had a dreadful season overall, finishing sixth in the Premier League with their lowest point total since the league's inception in 1992. They will compete in the Europa League next season, and new head coach Erik ten Hag is anticipated to make significant changes at Old Trafford this summer.
