The European Court of Justice will hold a hearing on the Super League in mid-July.
A spokesman for the European Union Court of Justice said on Friday that a hearing on the legal dispute over football's planned new Super League will take place on July 11 and 12.
In a Madrid court, the European Super League firm launched a complaint against governing bodies UEFA and FIFA, which was then transferred to a Luxembourg-based European court.
The Super League intends to use the lawsuit to prove that UEFA and FIFA acted illegally in opposing the Super League.
"It behaved as a cartel and abused its dominating position in the market for the organization of international football club championships in Europe, as well as the market for the commercialization of the rights associated with these competitions," the court said.
Security measures have also been asked by the lawsuit "to facilitate the development and organization of the European Super League."
Twelve teams declared the formation of a Super League in April 2021, but the proposal was derailed within days due to strong criticism from fans, leagues, and federations.
All six English clubs, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal, as well as AC and Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, withdrew quickly.
Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Juventus, on the other hand, continue to pursue the concept, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez declaring late last year that UEFA's monopoly is illegal under European Union law.
According to the European Union Court of Justice, all 12 clubs are shareholders in the Super League corporation that is suing.
