Ghanaian journalist Nana Aba Anamoah has received praise from some Ghanaians after saying the undeniable truth. Most women in a relationship make it an obligation for their boyfriends to be giving them money all time, once you can't give her money it is assumed you don't love her hence she will find all means in separating from you.
However, in an interview on Asaase Radio hosted by broadcaster Naa Ashorkor Doku, asked Nana Aba Anamoah about the role money plays in a relationship and how obliged it is for a man to give her woman money. Nana Aba Anamoah Anamoah replying to this added that it is not the man's responsibility to constantly give you money, if he wants to give you money it is from his own will, and when you are in need and he is in the
position to help he should.
This revelation earned her praises online as provided for a relationship has solely been the job of a man and it has been the topic of debate for a very long time. Recently news broke out of a nurse who broke out with his boyfriend simply because he gives her ghc 1,000 every month. The young lady asked for an increment which the young man added that is the most he can do, the young lady lost her cool called the young man names, and went ahead to break up with him.
Most scholars also believe the role and providing for one in a relationship should not be solely a man’s responsibility, it should be balanced if they want to take their relationship to the next level.
