Stephen Ntim has named Mohammed Adjei Sowah, the former Mayor of Accra Metropolitan Assembly, as his Campaign Manager for the New Patriotic Party's National Chairmanship.
Honorable Adjei Sowah is a social entrepreneur and a local economic development specialist. He is a progressive and transformative leader who has guided state and non-state entities through difficult times to a stable course. He has 23 years of project management and urban development experience, with particular expertise in sanitation/waste management, climate change, urban mobility, local economic development, and city government.
Adjei Sowah was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MAS Investments Ltd prior to his nomination as Mayor. He now consults for Complete Property Solutions and is a senior partner in IQS Capital Partners Ltd.
Adjei Sowah graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with a master's degree in local economic development. He also has a master's degree in international relations and diplomacy from Ghana's Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
He finished a one-year professional program at Harvard University called the "Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative." Prior to that, he completed an undergraduate program at the University of Ghana, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration.
In the late 1990s, Adjei Sowah began his political career as the leader of the Youth Wing in Odododiodioo. He was hired as the Officer-in-Charge of capacity building and job placement by the NPP's Greater Accra Regional Branch. In 2006, he was elected as the Odododiodioo Constituency Secretary, and in 2008, he ran for Parliament as the Odododiodioo Candidate.
From 2009 to 2017, Adjei Sowah progressed from the constituency and served as the Greater Accra Regional Branch of the Party's Regional Secretary for two terms.
It's worth noting that while serving as Regional Secretary, he was a member of the National Council. Adjei Sowah's political strength ranges from political strategy to activist and officer capacity building.
