Botswana disappointed Tunisia in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification Group J match which finished in a 0-0 draw at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown on Sunday evening.
The draw saw the Zebras get their primary point in Group J having begun their passing effort with a tight 1-0 loss to the 1982 Afcon sprinters Libya in Benghazi on Wednesday.
Presently put third on the Group J standings, Botswana's next game in the 2023 Afcon qualifiers will be against Equatorial Guinea away in September this year as they hoped to get their most memorable success.
While Tunisia stayed at the highest point of the gathering standings following the draw having pounded Equatorial Guinea 4-0 at home on Thursday in their most memorable game and they will confront Libya in September this year.
The Zebras were under attack in the initial 20 minutes of the game as the Carthage Eagles looked for the initial goal with goalkeeper Goitseone Phokoe compelled to emerge and deny Issam Jebali.
Phoko then delivered a sublime save to deny Firas Ben Larbi from short proximity. The Gaborone United shot-plug was then beaten by Ben Larbi's grating shot, however the crossbar acted the hero.
The hosts further developed progressively as the match advanced and the keeper Bechir Ben Saïd created a twofold save to deny Tumisang Orebonye, and Kabelo Seakanyeng. The score was 0-0 at half-time with Botswana having contained Tunisia.
The Zebras played much better after the restart as they had the option to keep ownership well in the Carthage Eagles' half, yet were attempting to make obvious possibilities against the 2004 African bosses.
With the Botswana defense looking strong and reduced, Tunisia's mentor Jalel Kadri chose to present assailant Elias Achouri and 2017 CAF Champions League Golden Boot victor Taha Yassine Khenissi.
The two groups made possibilities towards the finish of the game, and Khenissi came nearest to scoring when his shot hit the crossbar with Phoko very much beaten as of now of the match, and the experience finished in a 0-0 impasse.
