Liverpool's pursuit of Barcelona's juvenile midfielder Gavi has come to an end, with the youngster reportedly poised to sign a long-term contract extension at Camp Nou.

Real Madrid will have fresh talks with Monaco this week to hash out a cost for midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. The Frenchman is keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but Real are now unable to match Ligue 1 club's €80 million value.

Donny van de Beek, who spent the second part of last season on loan at Everton, has been told by Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag that he is in his plans for next season.

After departing Manchester United at the conclusion of his contract, Nemanja Matic will rejoin Jose Mourinho at Roma. A one-year contract has been reached with the Serb.

Barcelona intends to wait until Mohamed Salah's contract at Liverpool expires before making a bid to bring him to Camp Nou. Xavi wants to get the Egyptian on a free transfer and team him with Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski, who wants to depart this summer.

Barcelona is also interested in replacing veteran midfielder Sergio Busquets with Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad. The Catalan giants are also interested in Ruben Neves of Wolves, although there are doubts about the expense of a deal.

Arsenal has accepted personal terms with Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, but the Premier League champions have yet to agree on a transfer fee.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not be joining Matic at the Stadio Olimpico because he has signed a free transfer with Serie A rivals Inter.

Inter are also interested in Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with a season-long loan to San Siro a possibility.

Tottenham are preparing a £20 million bid for Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence, who was on loan at Nottingham Forest and played a major role in their promotion to the Premier League.

Benfica has informed Manchester United that they will not be taking on Andreas Pereira or Anthony Martial as part of any deal for Darwin Nunez. Liverpool are also interested in signing the Uruguayan, who was the subject of a late January bid from West Ham.

Chelsea are still in pole position to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer, despite the fact that he is out of contract this summer. Paris Saint-Germain has expressed interest, but has since withdrawn from the talks.

Despite Juventus' attempts to renegotiate the terms of Moise Kean's loan, he refuses to return to Everton. Max Allegri's team have an obligation to sign the Italian, who scored five goals in Serie A last season.

Leeds United appear to have beaten Brentford to the £10 million-rated Red Bull Salzburg defender Rasmus Kristensen, who previously worked under Jesse Marsch at Leeds.
