Following last Sunday's church attack in Ondo state, a Nigerian journalist described the country as "in shock."

 

The attack was unexpected, according to Layo Olarinde, a Channels TV journalist who spoke on JoySMS on Monday, June 6.

 

 

 

This is due to the tranquil environment of the state in which the incident occurred, she argues.

"Ondo state is located in Nigeria's south-western region. It is regarded as one of the country's most serene states. So the incident on Sunday was devastating, and it rocked the entire country."

'The entire country is in shock,' says Layo Olarinde, a journalist in Nigeria.

 

"It's in a gloomy mood right now, and things are slowing down." The victims' families are in grief."

 

 

 

The journalist also revealed that today, Monday, June 6, the Christian community would have a peaceful demonstration.

Gunmen killed worshipers in Ondo state, south-west Nigeria, on Sunday, June 5.

 

 

 

During a Sunday service, armed men stormed into St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.
