Sadio Mane of Liverpool is expected to join Bayern Munich this summer.
After reportedly rejecting Bayern Munich's initial £21 million bid for Sadio Mane, Liverpool is apparently playing hardball with the German club. The Senegalese international has declined to sign a new contract at Anfield and is expected to leave this summer. Liverpool, on the other hand, is refusing to reveal the player's asking price.
Since joining Liverpool from Southampton in 2016, Mane has had a fantastic six-year stay on Merseyside. In his 269 appearances for the club, the forward has scored 120 goals and provided 48 assists, making him a vital element of Jurgen Klopp's assault.
Last season, the ace was in sublime form, scoring 23 goals in all competitions as his side advanced to the Champions League final and nearly missed out on the Premier League title. Mane, on the other hand, appears to be set on a summer move.
Bayern Munich has reportedly tabled a proposal in an attempt to lure the 30-year-old away from England. Liverpool, according to The Times, did not even consider the offer because they believe it undervalues the player. They have also refused to give Bayern a sum they are willing to accept.

Munich's initial offer includes a £4 million add-on package. The amount, however, has not been enough to entice Liverpool into doing business. The Bundesliga club now has the opportunity to demonstrate their desire for Mane by upping their offer.
Bayern Munich were in terrific form last season, winning the German Cup.
Mane's contract expires next summer, and he will be free to leave Anfield at the end of the season. As a result, Liverpool's management could reluctantly allow the player to leave, allowing them to raise some much-needed funds for their own transfer fund.
Sadio Mane, Liverpool's star attacker, could be sold to Bayern Munich this summer, according to manager Jurgen Klopp.
Bayern's interest in Mane was first reported last month, just days before Liverpool's Champions League final match against Real Madrid. Klopp, on the other hand, stated at the time that he "couldn't care less" about the rumors. "Sadio is in the best form of his life," the German observed.
He's in fantastic shape, and it's a joy to see him in training and during games right now. We ask him a lot, and football asks him a lot this year, with an extremely long season, a lot of finals, and other things, so it's undoubtedly one of his and our most successful years yet. I don't give a damn about the Bayern Munich rumors right now."
