Jose Mourinho was fired by Manchester United in December 2018 after a poor start to the season. After Louis van Gaal's failure, the club had believed that the Portuguese manager would be able to restore Old Trafford's glory days.
Mourinho started well, winning the League Cup and the Europa League in his first season, but he failed to win the FA Cup final and finished second in the Premier League in his second season, the latter of which he considered as his best managerial achievement. The third season, on the other hand, was when the wheels came off.
Mourinho seems to have lost his magic touch after leaving United. And those fears seemed to be verified when he joined Tottenham Hotspur and failed to bring the team up to standard, leading to his unceremonious dismissal just before the Carabao Cup final.
Mourinho, on the other hand, has rebuilt his career at Roma. In his debut season as manager, he only finished sixth in Serie A but won the UEFA Conference League.
Other teams appear to be taking notice as well. According to The Telegraph, Mourinho is being considered as the next permanent manager of Paris Saint-Germain. United supporters have been reacting to the news on Twitter.
According to a report on ESPN through Metro UK, Corentin Tolisso wants to join a Premier League club like Manchester United this summer when he departs Bayern Munich.
When his contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of June, the 27-year-old France international will be a free agent.
Tolisso joined Bayern Munich from Lyon in 2017 and has since won five Bundesliga titles. He now wants to put his skills to the test in the Premier League.
Tolisso is eager to play in a European league next season and is willing to join a Europa League team, giving Manchester United a boost.
Manchester United tried to recruit Tolisso five years ago when he left Lyon for Bayern Munich, and the midfielder will be available as a free agent this summer.
