It has been a long time since Wales last showed up in the World Cup finals yet their break coah Rob Page accepts his side can have a real effect in Qatar and progress from their gathering.
Wales beat Ukraine 1-0 in their capability season finisher last on Sunday and will currently play in Group B alongside the United States, Iran and neighbors England in the competition what begins on November 21.
"We have played against the USA. We realize they are a really impressive outfit. We played against their European-based players, in my most memorable game," Page told BBC Wales, alluding to a 0-0 accommodating in November, 2020.
"They [and Iran] are winnable games and when you play against a home countries group, anything can occur," he added.
"We will go out there with the certainty we have had going into any game. We will take on anyone - - ready and waiting. That is the mentality we have in that evolving room."
Albeit the last time Wales highlighted in the World Cup finals was in 1958, the ongoing crew have acquired enormous competition experience through the last two European Championship crusades.
Under manager Chris Coleman in 2016, Wales upset Belgium in the quarter-finals prior to being stopped by Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal.
Last year, in the deferred Euro 2020 competition, Wales qualified from a precarious gathering, in front of Turkey and Switzerland, before they were beaten 4-0 by Denmark in the round of 16.
Those missions have empowered the fan base in a nation where rugby association has for quite some time been seen as the public game and Page accepts it isn't just the great mutual singing of allies that currently matches the oval-ball game.
"Experiencing childhood in the valleys everything revolved around rugby. We had Cardiff City and Swansea City in the old fourth division and rugby was presumably the main game. The tides have changed somewhat now," he said.
"It is a result of what the young men are doing and that's what achievement drives. At the point when you are winning it helps for individuals to pay heed. Football has likely surpassed rugby right now as the main game in Wales," added Page, who has been responsible for the group since Ryan Giggs remained down from the situation while confronting claims of attack.
Page gave credit to previous director Gary Speed for establishing the groundworks for the upswing in fortunes for the public side before his demise in 2011.
"Gary Speed began it a long time back and I need to devote this success and capability to him and his loved ones. There was an adjustment of the tides and we made a culture and personality of how we needed to play and it began then," he said.
