Professor Seidu Al-appointment Hassan's as the next Vice Chancellor of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has received widespread support.
In a statement issued by the Gbewaa Palace Secretary, the respected Overlord of Dagbon Kingdom, Yaa-Naa Abubakari Mahama, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Professor Seidu Al-Hassan.

Professor Wayo Seini, Chairman of the UDS Governing Council, confirmed Professor Seidu Al-nomination Hassan's in a letter dated June 1, 2022.
Professor Gabriel Ayum Teye, who retires from active duty in September 2022, will be succeeded by the former UDS Pro Vice Chancellor.
Professor Wayo Seini is an expert in change management and contributes a lot of invention, ingenuity, and subtlety to his professional activities.
His mission is to offer effective leadership and a collaborative atmosphere that will help the University grow into a practical institution known for academic quality and community service across the world.
He has ensured improved teaching, learning, and research, greater academic and administrative capacity, the University's financial stability, the UDS's prestige, and a more united and gender-inclusive University community.
Between 2015 and 2019, he served as the University of Delaware's Provost, Director of the Institute of Continuing Education and Interdisciplinary Research, and Head of the Department of Food Security and Climate Change.
