UEFA reacts when a Barcelona player sets a new UEFA Nations League record for the national team of Spain.The European Football Association (UEFA) has reacted after Barcelona football club kid Gavi set a new record by scoring a classic goal for Spain's national side in their UEFA Nations League 2-2 draw against Czech Republic.
Since making his debut for Spain last year, the 17-year-old has been in fantastic form for the national team, and he was able to prove himself once more on Sunday.
Following his fantastic performance for the club in their previous game, coach Luis Enrique gave the youngster another starting role, and he was able to score one of his side's two goals.
Despite goals from Jakub Pesek and Jan Kuchta for the Czech Republic, Gavi Pablo and Inigo Martinez were enough to earn Spain a well-deserved draw.
With his goal, Pablo Gavi has become the youngest player in the history of the Spanish national team.
UEFA responded to Gavi's new record by posting on their verified Twitter account that;
"The debutant from Spain who is the youngest
Spain's newest goal scorer
Gavi."
When Spain plays Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday, the youngster is expected to keep his place in the national team.
