The number of flights on the Accra-London-Accra route would be reduced from seven to five each week, according to British Airways.

This revised timetable will go into effect throughout the summer.

According to British Airways, the initiative is intended to boost operational resilience and give consumers with more assurance in the aftermath of the covid-19 pandemic's impact on the aviation business.

In a statement, the airline apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused and stated that customers have the option to rebook for alternate flights.

"To provide customers the most flexibility, we're allowing them to rebook onto other flights and, where appropriate, using larger aircraft, allowing more passengers to fly as close to their original departure time as possible."

"For select flights, clients may be requested to contact their travel agency directly. Customers who no longer want to go can get a full refund under our Standard Customer Guidelines, according to the statement.

Several agreements with other carriers are also in place, according to the statement, to assist consumers in rebooking.

It said, "These are now in place with Qatar Airways, Lufthansa (including Cityline), Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific."

Dear Business Partner,

Aviation has been one of the worst-affected businesses by the epidemic; airlines and airports are dealing with the same problems, reconstructing their operations while dealing with the ongoing effects of Covid.

We are focusing on three objectives as a company: our customers and valued partners, supporting the largest recruiting drive in our history, and enhancing our operational resilience to help deliver certainty to our customers.

To help with this, we've made the tough but essential choice to limit our summer schedule.

We apologize for any trouble this may cause our mutual clients' travel arrangements.  We're providing customers the choice to rebook onto other flights and using larger aircraft where feasible to provide maximum flexibility, allowing more customers to fly as close to their original departure time as possible.

Customers may be requested to contact their travel agency directly for select flights. Customers who no longer want to go can get a full refund if they follow our Standard Customer Guidelines.

We also have a number of agreements in place with other carriers to assist consumers with rebooking. Qatar Airways, Lufthansa (including Cityline), Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific are presently using them.

For all policy details, please visit the BA Trade Support website. Partners that want to rebook consumers on Lufthansa must first contact us.
